International Conference LiMatI2024

How can we research and utilize the structure and dynamics of matter?

One efficient method is irradiation with light. For example, light-driven matter generates new, ultrashort pulsed light that can be used for in-depth investigations with even higher temporal resolution in the attosecond range (10-18 seconds) - a groundbreaking development that was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2023.

The LiMatI Collaborative Research Centre at the University of Rostock focuses on various aspects of light-matter interaction at interfaces and is organizing a major international conference in September 2024.

The conference will not only allow the young scientists of the Collaborative Research Center to present their latest findings in short talks and poster sessions, but will also offer the opportunity to benefit from the extensive expertise of the participants.
