The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) provides a research-oriented high-level education program for the PhD students of the CRC  that focuses on developing academic independence and scientific management and communication skills. Besides of topical elements, the IRTG offers soft-skill courses and career-building measures, a colloquium and annual workshops organized by the PhD students themselves, intense scientific interaction with international guests and double supervision. Furthermore, it supports and promotes by a number of specific measures young female researchers and scientists with families.
