German Conference of Women in Physics 2026 at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau 28.09.-30.09.2026

From September 28 to 30, 2026, the German Conference of Women in Physics (Deutsche Physikerinnentagung) will take place at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
Since 1997, this long-standing conference has brought together women physicists from a wide range of disciplines and career stages and is regarded as an important forum for scientific exchange, networking, and gender equality in physics.

The scientific focus of the conference includes condensed matter physics, biophysics, spin physics, photonics, and quantum technologies. Contributions addressing physics across scales — from the very small to the very large in energy, time, and space, ranging from particle physics to cosmology — are also warmly welcomed.
The scientific program is complemented by events on careers in industry, soft-skill workshops, and opportunities to meet and network with representatives from industry and academia.

The German Conference of Women in Physics aims to provide a platform for increasing the visibility of women in physics and fostering exchange across scientific fields and career levels. The event is supported by the Working Group on Equal Opportunities of the German Physical Society (DPG).

Registration and abstract submission are now open. Participation and travel expenses will be funded through central LiMatI resources.
If you are interested, please contact your SFB coordinator.
